OMG! This thrills me immensely! I knew that Depp was going to be taking on the remainder of Ledger's role, but I didn't know Jude Law was either! I'm very excited about this.
I also got a little lump in my throat when I saw "Academy Award Winner" over Heath Ledger's name, only because he didn't actually live to receive that honor and this whole thing brings back the shock and sadness I felt at his death. However, I look forward to seeing his final movie.
I would add that this looks like a return to form for Gilliam, who by my reckoning, hasn't made a great film since Twelve Monkeys. I know a lot of people like Fear and Loathing, but I maintain you have to have been drunk or stoned at at least one time in your life to appreciate that film. I have been neither.
